Welcome to the New Generation Society of Lawrence's website!

NGSL core membership is comprised of energetic, intellectually curious adults in the Lawrence, Kansas area. The New Generation Society of Lawrence (NGSL), incorporated in 1997, is a 501(c)3 organization that is devoted to providing its membership with opportunities to pursue life-long learning, staying active in the Lawrence community, and supporting philanthropic causes.

Each year, many people are living fuller, longer, healthier lives; as a result, NGSL recognizes that these individuals have needs and interests that are not being met by traditional services or social organizations. Today, many of us have the time and desire to expand our intellectual and cultural horizons. As we are lucky enough to live in a historically significant area and near the University of Kansas, a world-renowned research and teaching institution, NGSL is able to help members stay entrenched in a vibrant, intellectually stimulating environment.

NGSL is administratively partnered with the Hall Center for the Humanities at the University of Kansas, which shares our goal of life-long learning. The Hall Center actively engages in bringing lectures and events to campus and in developing programs for humanists of all ages. Together, we work to bring possibilities for life-long learning, volunteer work, social events and philanthropic opportunities to all the members.
